For children 7 + years of age. The Reading and Beyond program was designed to provide the child with support to help them read books at their grade level. The program features effective learning strategies to support your child in learning how to build their vocabulary, make predictions, answer questions, paraphrase and summarize text.  Time will also be spent reading in small groups and one on one time with a Speech Language Pathologist.

Your child may benefit if:  they can read words accurately and fluently, but they do not appear to understand the meaning of the text, and/or they are unable to remember specific information or answer questions about reading material.

Payment:

To secure a spot a $50.00 deposit must be sent and a registration form completed by June 22nd, 2018. The remainder of fees will be collected on the first of the month. July 1st for July camps, August 1st for August camps

Evaluation Requirement:

A 30 minute intake review is required for all new clients. The cost of the intake is $65. To schedule a review, please email hello@thesln.com or call 306 933 3222.

Camps Include:

A snack and home programming materials. For ½ day camps an outdoor (weather permitting) break/activity will also be included.  Please dress your children for the weather and pack a water bottle.

Group Information:

  • Groups will be led by a registered Speech Language Pathologist
  • Sessions will promote strong literacy, speech and language skill development and will be engaging, meaningful and fun
  • Many opportunities to develop social skills and practice new speech language skills with peers
  • Home programming & parent coaching included
